Produced during a three-month development course at Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS), this track features vintage synthesisers such as the Yamaha CS80 and Prophet 10. The percussion is spun from field recordings I took in Victoria's high country and Wimmera grain belt, ankle deep in the river dropping rocks in the water and hitting various farm junk with sticks. The high hats were performed by a very rhythmic cricket that landed on my shirt. Lyrics are inspired by Susanna Clarke's incredible novel 'Piranesi'.
