Jonesing creates intricate, otherworldly artpop infused with celtic melodies and tender lyrics. Self-produced and written, her songs are cooled with soaring classically-trained vocals and warmed by earthy percussive textures, mandolin, fiddle and fuzzy synths. Channeling Enya and Kate Bush, her music has an expansive, cinematic feel. After launching her debut EP ‘Paper Doll’ in 2021 she’s matured her electronic sound into a purer expression of her Celtic and Czech background.
Jonesing recently earned a place on AIR Women in Music Mentorship and Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) Professional Development programs. These opportunities birthed her two latest singles, the heart wrenching ‘I Will Never Know (Who’s Always on Your Mind)’ and the pensive, literature-inspired ‘Solitare’. In the works is a second EP and a glossimer, atmospheric cover of Sandy Denny’s ‘Who Knows Where the Time Goes’.
